Snowy days

Josh is writing a test for his First Class ticket on Tuesday, so Madelyn and I were going to get out of his hair this weekend and head to Medicine Hat. Miss Maddy had other plans though, as she decided to get herself a little case of conjunctivitis (pink eye basically). So we are stuck at home for the next few days since it is very contagious. We are making the best of it though and got to play outside for quite awhile today, as it was a balmy -1 here in Calgary!

Oh Brother!!

So my brother Tyler was stabbed twice a couple of nights ago. He is OKAY... just really sore thank goodness. The whole thing was just so scary to hear about! He was buying some off-sale liqour at a store in Prince Albert and was attacked as he came out. Of course Tyler, being as stubborn as he is :) , would not give the guy his liquor and so he was stabbed in the arm and in the leg, needing 18 stitches! Thankfully the police caught the guy right away and he is being charged with attempted murder. I am so glad that you are okay Tyler, but next time just give em the booze and buy yourself some more!!!

Madelyn wanted so badly to touch the big fat snowflakes that were outside, so we got bundled up and I let her run around on the deck. She had an absolute blast!!

Madelyn is ONE!!!!

Madelyn Marie had her 1st birthday on February 15th! It is so hard to believe it has been a year already, but it also seems like she has been with us for years. This past year has been so wonderful and we have been so blessed to have her in our lives...

We celebrated her birthday with a party on Valentine's Day at our home in Calgary. Almost all of her family made it. My dad and the girls drove from Prince Albert to come, Mike and Maureen came from Stony Plain with their new baby Nolan, and a whole bunch of Gales and Dolls came from Medicine Hat. It was the best day ever! Thank you to everyone who made the trip and for the beautiful gifts. Madelyn had a perfect day, I am sure!
